BMS Overview

The Battery Management System (BMS) is an intelligent circuit board equipped with an electronic system designed to manage rechargeable batteries — whether single cells or complete battery packs. At UFOPOWER, our in-house BMS design serves as the critical link between the battery and the end user, and it is engineered, manufactured, and tested together with every custom battery pack we build.


Our BMS integrates a control module, a display module, a wireless communication module, and a data acquisition module that records battery history. The acquisition module feeds data into the BMS; the control module manages the battery pack and interfaces with external equipment; and the wireless module connects the system to a server for remote monitoring. As BMS technology evolves, UFOPOWER continues to integrate more industry-specific features — tailored for applications such as forklifts, golf carts, RVs, drones/UAVs, and power tools — to meet emerging needs.

Our BMS supports industry-standard communication protocols including SMBus and CAN, enabling seamless integration with host devices and battery management systems. Communication error protection keeps data exchange stable and reliable in demanding environments.
Charge Management

Charge Management

Smart charging management provides over-voltage and over-current protection, temperature alarms, cell voltage imbalance warnings, and short-circuit protection. Intelligent cell balancing keeps every cell evenly charged, maximizing pack capacity and service life.
Discharge Management

Discharge Management

During discharge, the BMS safeguards the pack with over/under-voltage protection, no-load protection, short-circuit protection, and temperature alarms — ensuring safe, stable power delivery down to the last cell.
Other Functions

Other Functions

Additional smart features include low-temperature self-heating, ultra-low standby power consumption, reverse polarity protection, and a storage mode with minimized self-discharge — ready for harsh conditions and long idle periods.
